Cokato, Minnesota — Sauna360, Inc. has expanded its recall of Tylö-branded Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid sauna rooms after determining that the repair offered under an earlier recall was ineffective, the company said. The saunas contain a bench that can collapse, posing a fall hazard to consumers. The story begins with that first recall, issued in October 2025 and covering the same sauna lines.
At its heart is a repair that did not hold. Sauna360 is now offering a second, free remedy to the roughly 6,000 units affected by the expanded recall.
What the recall covers
The expansion involves bench seating in the sauna rooms and applies to specific model and serial number ranges. Those ranges run from CSFxxABTRxx-V1-4296 through CSFxxABADTRxx-V1-18577; from SFxxABTRxx-V1-48413 through SFxxABTRxx-V1-48444; and from CSFxxABISxxTL-V1-4674 through CSFxxABADISxxTL-V1-18503. Owners can find the serial number for each room on both the packaging and the sauna rooms themselves.
For the Halmstad 2, 3, and 4 sauna rooms, the serial number label sits beneath the upper bench on the left side, directly above the electrical contactor box. For the Kiruna Hybrid 2 and 3 rooms, the label is applied to the right wall, beneath the right side of the upper bench.
The model number is printed in the manual.
Stop using the saunas, company says
Consumers should stop using the saunas immediately, even if they received the 2025 recall remedy. Sauna360 will provide a professional installer to retrofit the benches with additional hardware and supports. Sauna360 has received 77 additional reports of the benches breaking, with six injuries, including one consumer with head and neck injuries and another with a sprained ankle.
Consumers can reach Sauna360 toll-free at 866-936-5962 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, by email at [email protected], or online at https://sauna360.com/product-recall or www.sauna360.com by clicking “Recall” at the bottom of the page. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is charged with protecting the public from unreasonable risk of injury associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products.
Deaths, injuries, and property damage from consumer product-related incidents cost the nation more than $1 trillion annually. Since the CPSC was established more than 50 years ago, it has worked to ensure the safety of consumer products, which has contributed to a decline in injuries associated with these products. Federal law prohibits any person from selling products subject to a Commission-ordered recall or a voluntary recall undertaken in consultation with the CPSC.
The CPSC is headquartered at 4330 East-West Highway, Bethesda, MD 20814, and can be reached at 800-638-2772 (TTY 800-638-8270). For owners of the affected Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid rooms, the next step is to check the serial number against the ranges above and arrange the retrofit.
What to watch is whether the second repair holds where the first did not.
