FULL SENSE Acquires Talon Roster and Slot Following Partnership Termination

After Riot Games terminated Talon Esports’ partnership due to financial issues, the organization’s VCT Pacific slot and roster were acquired by FULL SENSE.

FULL SENSE has acquired the VCT Pacific slot and roster previously held by Talon Esports, following the latter’s removal from the league due to financial difficulties. The acquisition was finalized during the off-season leading into the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour, a year that will mark the final season of the franchised era before the circuit returns to an open qualifier system in 2027. Talon Esports was removed from both VCT Pacific and the League of Legends Championship Pacific on November 18, 2025, after Riot Games terminated their partnership due to financial issues and delayed payments to players and coaches. The slot had been vacated just as SLT was promoted through the Ascension tournament, though SLT’s own slot and roster were subsequently acquired by VARREL during the off-season. This series of movements—including ENVY’s promotion from Challengers and ULF Esports’ withdrawal from VCT EMEA—reflects the shifting composition of the VCT Pacific league structure as new partners join via Ascension or direct acquisition. According to the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour format, the Ascension tournament has been discontinued for the Pacific league, with four Challenger teams now participating in Stage 2 play-ins instead.

The 2026 season represents the final year of the franchised era before returning to an open qualifier system. Talon Esports’ slot was vacated just as SLT was promoted through the Ascension tournament. FULL SENSE’s acquisition aligns with other roster movements like ENVY’s promotion and ULF’s withdrawal. The VCT Pacific league structure is shifting with new partners joining via Ascension or direct acquisition.

Format Changes For 2026 Season

Starting with the 2026 season, the Ascension tournament will no longer be held for the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific leagues. Instead, four Challenger teams from each region will participate in the play-ins of Stage 2, giving them a pathway to Champions. This structural shift replaces the previous promotion and relegation system that had governed the circuit under the franchised era.

Additionally, the Kickoff stage will feature a triple-elimination format. As a result, the first Masters event of the season has been expanded from eight to twelve teams, increasing the competitive scope early in the year. The China league will also have a full tour throughout the entire 2026 season, with every phase of each stage being hosted in a different city leading up to Champions in Shanghai.

FULL SENSE Roster and Staff Details

FULL SENSE acquired the complete roster previously fielded by Talon Esports, consisting of players Crws, Jremy, Foxz, sScary, and governor. The coaching staff, including head coach Termi and assistant coach MiG, also transferred to the new organization as part of the acquisition.

According to the team changes documented for the 2026 season, Talon Esports was removed from VCT Pacific on November 18, 2025, and their slot and roster in the VCT would be acquired by FULL SENSE. This transaction preserved the core lineup that competed under the Talon banner during the 2025 season.

Reasons For Talon’s Partnership Termination

Riot Games terminated Talon Esports’ partnership on November 18, 2025, specifically due to financial issues and delayed payments to players and coaches. The organization failed to meet its financial obligations, which constituted a breach of the Team Participation Agreement and directly led to the removal from both the VCT Pacific and the League of Legends Championship Pacific. This termination occurred after Talon Esports’ slot had been vacated, triggering a chain of roster movements within the league.

Following the termination, Talon Esports’ VCT Pacific slot and roster were acquired by FULL SENSE during the off-season leading into the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour. The source material confirms that this acquisition preserved the core lineup that had competed under the Talon banner during the 2025 season, consisting of players Crws, Jremy, Foxz, sScary, and governor, along with the coaching staff including head coach Termi and assistant coach MiG. The financial instability that caused the partnership split thus resulted in the roster being absorbed by a new organization rather than being dissolved.

Impact on Pacific League Composition

The 2026 VCT Pacific roster now includes two newly‑entered organizations. FULL SENSE took over the slot and roster formerly held by Talon Esports after Riot Games terminated Talon’s partnership on 18 November 2025. At the same time, SLT, which had earned promotion through the Ascension tournament by replacing BOOM Esports, saw its slot and roster purchased by VARREL during the off‑season. These moves replace the departed Talon and BOOM entities with FULL SENSE and VARREL, reshaping the Pacific league’s partner lineup.

Because the Ascension tournament has been discontinued for the Pacific region, the league’s future composition will be determined through the new Stage 2 play‑ins, where four Challenger teams from the region can earn a place in the main league. This shift means that, beyond the two newly‑acquired slots, any further changes to the Pacific roster will come from open competition rather than direct promotion, signalling a more fluid and performance‑driven league structure as the franchised era concludes.
